Vonda, situated along Highway 27, is a charming community just a half-hour drive northeast of Saskatoon. Named after the daughter of American journalist Cy Warman, this town boasts a rich history and a close-knit atmosphere.
Among its notable features is the École Providence French language school, offering education from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Nearby, Aberdeen Composite School provides English instruction for the same grade levels. Additionally, Vonda is home to the Paroisse St. Philippe de Neri Parish Roman Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, reflecting the town's cultural diversity.
For recreational activities, residents enjoy the amenities of the Vonda Memorial Rink. The town also hosts essential services such as a Co-op, hotel, and various service businesses.
Originally named Vaunder when the post office opened on April 1, 1905, it was later renamed Vonda on May 1, 1906.
