Allan

About this community

Allan, situated in west central Saskatchewan, lies approximately 65 kilometers southeast of Saskatoon.

Initially incorporated as a village on June 9, 1910, this community began its journey with nine families who had commenced their travels together, arriving as early as 1903. It later gained town status in 1965.

In a heartfelt tribute, the town renamed its hockey rink within the Allan & District Communiplex to the Logan Schatz Memorial Rink in 2019. This renaming honors the memory of Logan Schatz, the beloved Humboldt Broncos captain hailing from the town, who tragically lost his life in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

According to the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, this town is home to a population of 625 residents, residing in 266 out of its 279 total private dwellings.

Benefitting from water directly sourced from Saskatoon, the town boasts exceptional water quality, ensuring the well-being of its community members.
